Download the Free Standard Version of D4E
     File name: d4e_free_template.xlsm  (XSLM)
     Works with: Excel 2016 or later (Windows)
     No sign-up required, safe add-in file.


Save the file:
1.  Download and save/rename as d4e_free_template.xlsm to a local folder (for example: Documents\D4E).

2.  Right-click the file → Properties → if you see Unblock, tick it → OK.
     As with any software, we recommend scanning the file with your antivirus.
3.   For XLSM, open as normal workbook in Excel:

       Workbook contains sample SQL and data, to test.


XLSM formats are often easier to deploy in enterprise environments, since Microsoft and many third parties commonly distribute templates and examples in this format.

     Open Excel → File > Options > Add-ins.
     At the bottom, choose Manage: Excel Add-ins → Go….
     Click Browse…, select d4e_free.xlam, and press OK.

🔧 Installation Steps


Enable and use:
     If Excel asks about macros, choose Enable Content.
     The D4E menu will appear in Excel.
     Try a sample command or open the Help menu to get started.

ℹ️ Tips

To load automatically every time: copy file into your XLSTART folder.
If blocked by IT policy, request approval for .xlam add-ins from a trusted folder.

Get the D4E JDBC Proxy to enable JDBC connectivity.
